Dyslexia: The Role of the SLP

Dyslexia is commonly mistaken for reversing letters/numbers when reading. In reality, the definition of dyslexia is much more general: difficulty reading printed words. SLPs play a major role in evaluating and treating dyslexia, as many speech and language related areas affect the ability to learn how to read, write, and spell.
