Dyslexia: The Role of the SLP
Dyslexia is commonly mistaken for reversing letters/numbers when reading. In reality, the definition of dyslexia is much more general: difficulty reading printed words. SLPs play a major role in evaluating and treating dyslexia, as many speech and language related areas affect the ability to learn how to read, write, and spell. Learn more about the SLP's role in treating reading difficulties below.
Call the SLP Center at 781-792-2700 if you would like to schedule an evaluation to assess reading difficulties, writing, spelling, or language. We are here to help!
