Welcome back to our “Meet the Therapists” series! We hope you enjoyed meeting Sara last week. This week we will introduce Justine! Justine has been with the company since May of 2015. She is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. Read on to find out more about Justine:
Where are you from? - I grew up in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
What do you like most about Massachusetts? - Being able to visit the ocean anytime I want, walking my dog Blue in one of the many state parks, and Marylou’s Coffee.
How did you decide to become an SLP? - Growing up, my best friend’s sister had early intervention services where a speech-language pathologist visited the house every week. Once I took my first communication disorders class in undergrad, I was hooked! Fast forward many years later, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
What are your professional areas of interest? - While I’m interested in all things related to the field, I have a particular love for the areas of fluency, voice, and post-traumatic brain injury rehabilitation (i.e. stroke, post-concussion syndrome, TBI, etc).
What do you like to do in your free time? - In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, silversmithing, reading, and playing video games!
What is your favorite food? - Breakfast foods – I’ll eat them anytime of day. Banana pancakes are one of my favorites!
What is an interesting fact about yourself? - I adopted a three-legged husky mix named Blue – trust me when I say he does just fine with three!
We hope you've enjoyed getting to know Justine! Check back soon to learn more about our other therapists!
